GMC is bringing back the powerful GMC Hummer as an electric model for 2022. Much about the 2022 Hummer EV is still unknown, but GMC has revealed that the pickup truck is equipped with an impressive powertrain.
The Hummer EV won’t be available until the fall of 2021. Nevertheless, excitement has already been building for the truck since GMC announced that the truck achieves an impressive 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. The truck also can also go 0 to 60 mph in just 3 seconds, allowing you to take enjoyable drives.
The Hummer EV manages to balance its power and capability with incredible fuel efficiency as well. By being an all-electric truck, the Hummer EV produces zero emissions, making for a more environmentally-friendly ride.
It’s expected that the Hummer EV is being built on the BT1 platform, which is a version of the GM T1 platform that’s utilized for other GMC vehicles, including the Yukon and Sierra. More information about the truck will be available when GMC finally reveals the Hummer EV in May.
