Fun Ways to Decorate the Kids’ Table at Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Want a way to make the kids’ table at Thanksgiving more fun and engaging for the little ones? Here are some simple ways to make a great kids table this holiday.

 Kraft Paper

Sometimes it’s the simplest things kids enjoy the most. Covering the table in kraft paper and providing cups of crayons allows kids to have fun coloring while they sit at the kids’ table. If you want to make the experience even more unique, consider finding print-out coloring book pages online and printing them on the kraft paper.

 Fun Snacks

We know, you’re already knee-deep in food prep for the main feast, but if you have a little extra time why not put together a handful of creative snacks for the kids? You can make turkeys out of chocolate and candy corn, or decorate cupcakes. If you have kids of your own, you could even get them in on the decorating process the night before.

Kid-Friendly Place Settings

Arts and crafts aren’t just for the little ones. You can make place settings for all the kids that look like colonial-era ships, turkeys, or fall trees. Making these little props out of paper is as easy as searching tutorials online. There are tons of ideas on the internet

 Costumes & Props

Kids love to play dress-up. It can be fun to provide party favors like pilgrim hats so little ones can join in the fun while they eat.

We here at Wilson Chevrolet wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving. Remember to call us for any of your auto needs this holiday season.

Aaron Wilson Makes $10k Donation to Stillwater Public Schools

Donation to Stillwater Public Schools

For decades, Chevrolet has found ways to show its support for its local communities and citizens who are dedicated to improving them. Public education is no doubt one of the most important factors for growth and development in any location. As a gesture of their support to the local Oklahoma schools, Chevrolet and the Wilson Auto Family were able to make a generous donation to Stillwater Public Schools.

Aaron Wilson, the president of Chevy Drives Oklahoma and a part of the Wilson Auto Family, announced the donation in a speech at an all-faculty meeting over the summer. It took a phone call to the regional office in Dallas, Texas to suggest that Chevrolet support the local Stillwater Public Schools. They say that “Chevy drives Oklahoma,” but when Chevrolet agreed to donate $10,000 to the Stillwater Public Schools, Wilson could proudly announce that #ChevyDrivesEducation. The Wilson Auto Family is so honored to be part of a movement that supports the local education.

Stillwater Public Schools are just one of many public school systems across the state of Oklahoma that will receive money as part of the #ChevyDrivesEducation program. In addition to its donations, Chevy also shows support to education by providing the most affordable prices possible through special discounts to educators.

Here at Wilson GM, we are proud to support those who work hard to educate our community.

Stillwater Farmers’ Market

Stillwater Farmers’ Market
Stillwater Farmers’ Market

Getting the freshest fruits, vegetables, breads, and other produce is only possible at a farmers’ market! The Stillwater Farmers’ Market only allows vendors to sell produce they grew themselves within a limited area. Featuring products at affordable prices, many of which undercut convenience and super stores, there are plenty of reasons to head down to the Stillwater Farmers’ Market.

All produce is 100 percent locally grown, which is better for the environment. Vendors are committed to providing fresh and affordable produce, like fruits, vegetables, beef, eggs, jellies, and much more. You’ll end up with so much produce that you’ll need a full-size SUV, like the GMC Yukon, to move it all!

Located in Strickland Park on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Stillwater Farmers’ Market is open for business until August 30th. Customers can also find the market at the Stillwater Medical Center on Mondays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting on May 1st.

Come fall, the market moves to the Pioneer Square parking lot on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In winter, the market heads indoors at the Cowboy Mall on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Skip the supermarket and head down to the Stillwater Farmers’ Market for your grocery needs! We here at Wilson GM hope to see you there!
