Delicious Recipes with Fresh Berries

Fresh Berries | Stillwater, OK

One of the best parts of summer is the promise of berries fresh off the bush. Here are just a few recipes with fresh berries to celebrate the end of this warm-weather season.

Blueberry Muffins

Blueberries and muffins go together like peanut butter and jelly. This recipe from Paula Deen takes less than an hour from getting your ingredients out to having fresh muffins sitting on counter. Grab your kids and have them help out. Pairs great with a cup of tea.

Blackberry Pie Bars

For a standout cookout dessert, grab some blackberries. This recipe has a simple list of ingredients and even calls for frozen blackberries, meaning it can be a fall or winter treat as well. Easy directions allow for baking the day of the meal or the day before for even more convenience. A glass of cold milk makes for a total package.

Berry Parfaits

If you’re short on time but still want to sink your spoon into a berry-themed creation, try this recipe from Food Network. The parfaits come together quickly, and you’ll need just three ingredients: yogurt, berries, and granola.

Blackberry Hoisin Ginger Pork Tenderloin

Try something new with berries and enhance the savory flavors of pork. This recipe pairs brined pork tenderloin with blackberries, ginger, and hoisin sauce. Together it creates a sweet, salty, and savory dish that will transport you with its exotic flavors.

Try one or more of these scrumptious recipes to savor the dwindling days of summer — then stop by Wilson Chevrolet to test-drive a shiny new Chevy vehicle.

Getting the freshest fruits, vegetables, breads, and other produce is only possible at a farmers’ market! The Stillwater Farmers’ Market only allows vendors to sell produce they grew themselves within a limited area. Featuring products at affordable prices, many of which undercut convenience and super stores, there are plenty of reasons to head down to the Stillwater Farmers’ Market.

All produce is 100 percent locally grown, which is better for the environment. Vendors are committed to providing fresh and affordable produce, like fruits, vegetables, beef, eggs, jellies, and much more. You’ll end up with so much produce that you’ll need a full-size SUV, like the GMC Yukon, to move it all!

Located in Strickland Park on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Stillwater Farmers’ Market is open for business until August 30th. Customers can also find the market at the Stillwater Medical Center on Mondays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting on May 1st.

Come fall, the market moves to the Pioneer Square parking lot on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In winter, the market heads indoors at the Cowboy Mall on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Skip the supermarket and head down to the Stillwater Farmers’ Market for your grocery needs! We here at Wilson GM hope to see you there!
